Check Out The Island!
Bethany Beach, South Bethany - Fenwick Island

With their clean, free, beautiful open spaces and quaint seaside charm, "The Quiet Resorts" are the coastal towns near Delaware's southern border, including Bethany Beach, South Bethany, Fenwick Island and Ocean View, all neatly nestled between the Atlantic Ocean and bay areas.

Mid-Atlantic Region

By preserving traditions and old-fashioned values, each town has maintained its own unique quality, charm and small-town atmosphere. Commercial growth has been carefully managed and the area has remained primarily residential - a blend of small quaint cottage and luxurious, oceanfront villas.

Many miles of pristine beaches, bays and wildlife preserves provide a sanctuary for those who desire escape from the hustle and bustle of the city life. Beautiful shore birds and other wildlife remain undisturbed in refuges carefully protected and maintained. In Bethany Beach, walkers find the non-commercial boardwalk ideal for leisurely strolls while enjoying the sounds and sights of the surf.

Bethany Area

There are three state parks in the Bethany-Fenwick area. Delaware Seashore State Park offers six miles of ocean and bay shoreline, a campground, 250-slip marine with charter and head boats as well as boat ramp facilities. Fenwick Island State Park is quiet with restroom facilities, a bathhouse and food stand - saltwater lovers are set for the entire day! Holts Landing State Park, on the south shore of the Indian River Bay has a pavilion for family picnics, boat ramp, playground and ball fields. Fishing, clamming and crabbing can also be enjoyed at Holts Landing.

Bethany Area

A myriad of recreational opportunities are available to please even the most discerning. Aside from swimming and sunbathing, water sports include boating, kayaking, sailing, water skiing, jet skiing, sail boarding, parasailing, surfing, water slides, clamming, crabbing and fishing.

Bethany Area

You will be certain to stay while in the resort area, and family-operated motels, bed and breakfast inns, restaurants, campgrounds and businesses provide friendly, hometown hospitality with amenities expected in a fine resort. A large variety of specialty shops and boutiques make it fun to shop, and the added bonus is, of course, tax free shopping!

Real Estate Tips
Cosmetic Improvements >Selling Your Kitchen

Most buyers rate an attractive kitchen very high on their priority list when they are looking for a new home. The layout of the kitchen, the amount of counter space and storage, and the age and overall condition of the appliances are all important to them. The kitchen area is basically viewed as the center of nourishment and an important place of family interaction.

Take a discriminating look at your kitchen and consider what you can do to make it a real asset. Repair any plumbing leaks or broken appliances. Scrub the room thoroughly, paying special attention to the range and oven. Clean the refrigerator and place a box of baking soda inside to absorb odors. Simple improvements can sometimes work wonders. Hang some colorful pot holders over the stove or install a new stainless steel or copper exhaust hood. Brighten the windows with new curtains and clear all clutter off the countertops.

You don't need a brand new, high-tech kitchen to impress buyers, but do whatever you can to make your kitchen look as efficient and well-maintained as possible.
